Microwave Puchi Taiyaki Maker

Tool Pic

Taiyaki is a fun Japanese food eaten at Japanese matsuri festivals which is basically a little fish-shaped cake with "anko" sweet beans inside. This is a fantastic kit that lets you make your own pucchi sized taiyaki using your microwave oven. Best of all, since the batter used to make the taiyaki is simple pancake batter, you can make it easily wherever you live. The kit includes the small plastic fish-shaped tray which measures 12 x 18.5 x 4 cm (4.7 x 7.3 x 1.6 inches) and 4 sticks. The taiyaki maker comes with picture instructions. To use, fill the batter to the slit mark (so it doesn't overflow). Place the sticks through the slit and place your choice of filling on top of the sticks (red bean paste, jelly, chocolate...) then fill the batter on the other side of the tray. Close the lid and put in the microwave for about 2 mins. Remove from the microwave, pull out the sticks and enjoy your creation. Makes four taiyaki with every serving.
